Is there only one God?

Yes, there is only one God, the Holy Trinity.

What is a belief in only one God called?

What is the Holy Trinity?

The Holy Trinity is one God in a communion of three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

Who is God the Father?

God the Father is the first person of the Holy Trinity, and the Creator of all things visible and invisible. The Father proceeds from nothing and exists before all things.

Who is God the Son?

God the Son is the second person of the Holy Trinity. In the Incarnation, the Son took on our human nature and was born into this world as Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. All things were created through Him and with Him, and without Him nothing came to be. The Son proceeds from the Father.

Who is the Holy Spirit?

The Holy Spirit is the third person of the Holy Trinity, also called the Comforter, Paraclete or Advocate. The Holy Spirit proceeds from the Father and the Son and is worshipped and adored with the Father and the Son.

What do we mean when we say the Trinity is three persons in one God?

Each person of the Trinity is really and fully God. The persons of the Trinity can only be distinguished by the relationships from their processions. In all actions they are one.
